Allison's Birthday is April 23rd

Every year in the days leading up to the anniversary of the May 4, 1970 Kent State massacre, we remember Allison's birthday

April 23, 2025 is Allison's 74th birthday. I wrote this letter to my older sister Allison for her 70th: On Your 70th, Happy Birthday Allison ☮️

This year I was blessed to turn 70 and receive the best birthday present ever — The Park Center for Independent Media at Ithaca College invited the Kent State Truth Tribunal to archive and publicly share its collection of testimonials. On May 4, 2025 we will launch the Kent State Truth archive showcasing first-person narratives, our testimonials, recorded at the three Kent State Truth Tribunals held in 2010 — sharing stories from those who were there.

The Truth Tribunals were held on the 40th anniversary of the May 4, 1970 Kent State massacre where four students were killed, nine wounded at a campus protest against President Richard Nixon’s war in Vietnam and Cambodian invasion. 10 days later, two more students were killed, 12 were wounded at a protest by Mississippi Highway Patrol Officers at Jackson State College. In May 1970, six U.S. students and protesters against war were shot dead by U.S. military forces. No persons or group have ever been held accountable.
